Story Progression Locks
- Tower bosses advance the main questline. You can keep exploring, but some NPC states change after a Tower fall.

- Beta raid / invasion events can destroy structures if defense is weak; that is not a narrative lock, but it feels like one.
Base and Pal Management
- Palbox capacity is the real limiter — releasing a Pal you meant to keep is the most common "no return" mistake.
- Moving your only base to a bad biome without a resource outpost slows every upgrade chain.
- Breeding experiments: keep one parent with the trait you want before mass releases.
